Is there anything wrong with halal meat ?
Given that halal meat has been blessed before being bled, is there anything wrong with it ?ie: because of the smaller quantities sold in most communities, should one be concerned re storage conditions ?
Does the butcher always meet the standards imposed by commercial abbatoirs ?
Does the kebab stand in a halal shop genuinely contain halal meat ?
Are there other factors one may consider ?

My experience with Halal meat in Bali is that it is treated just as unhygenically as other meats commonly are there. E.g. hung out for flies and other insects to land on it in open conditions. Hand-washing is also not exactly widely practiced.
Personally, I wouldn't take the Halal mark to mean much in terms of food safety.
