A google search on Amatto color produces no clear result. Please post what you find.
A preservative and color free diet is good. But one must understand the bigger picture. The parents (you) should also be eating preservative free. Plenty of published research shows the benefits of removing preservatives and colors from your diet.

Go for it! My two girls are raised on wholefoods and are also vaccine free. They are fit, healthy and very intelligent, have no negative behavioral side effects. It isnt always easy as a mother to do this but I am a determined soul. You will wonder why you didnt do it sooner!

You should really strive for a whole diet change - one that includes whole grains, whole fruits and whole vegetables. There are a lot of great vegan cookbooks out there - and there is plenty of evidence that a vegan diet reduces or eliminates heart diseases, autoimmune diseases, etc. This lifestyle change can only improve the lives of those in your family.

I'm not trying to push the business I'm with, but Wildtree has preservative free/dye free food. Just an option if you don't always have time to prepare everything from scratch yourself. If you want to check out the products: www.wildtree.com. Leslie, who started the company has a daughter with diabetes and a son with Kowasaki Disease and who had later been diagnosed with ADHD and that was her push to changing what her children ate along with the rest of her family. karenvnelson@hotmail.com
